Fuji Xerox becomes greener

Fuji Xerox Australia has cut waste and is helping its customers become more sustainable.

The company's 2012-13 sustainability report revealed that its efficiency drive produced carbon and energy savings equivalent to taking 90 cars off the road during the year. It also made waste savings equivalent to six garbage truck payloads.

FSC, FSC carbon neutral, PEFC-certified and recycled papers now comprise 99% of total volume sold compared to 67% the previous year.

Fuji Xerox also said it had introduced a "customer-centric work culture" so staff could better understand how Fuji Xerox products could help customers become greener.

Head of Sustainability Amanda Keogh said: "We are working with our employees and our customers to gain greater understanding of how we can help our customers achieve their sustainability goals.

"In 2013-14 we will roll out a number of our initiatives developed during 2012-13, including a capability development program so that our sales people can have meaningful sustainability conversations with our customers, and expanding our FSC carbon neutral paper range."
