Fujifilm and Inca launch "ultra high quality" flatbed at Fespa

Fujifilm has used the Fespa show in London to launch the latest machine from Inca, the Onset Q40i.

The flatbed UV inkjet machine is billed as an ultra high-quality device, with a 10-picolitre drop size, a significant reduction from the 27-picolitre drops found with the Onset S40i model.

According to Fujifilm: "The resulting 1,200dpi apparent resolution produces ultra-crisp images, fine lines, sharp text and smooth tonal graduations."

The Q40i prints up to 310sqm per hour, which equates to 62 full-bed sheets per hour.

Inca Digital marketing director Heather Kendle said: "The Inca Onset Q40i combines outstanding quality with high-volume capabilities for critical print applications such as backlit cosmetics displays, fashion and other closely-viewed graphics.

"With an output quality comparable to offset litho married with Inca Digital's ongoing commitment to delivering flexible, high-productivity solutions, we believe that the Onset Q40i will attract considerable attention."
